78th Cannes Film Festival
The 78th edition of the next Cannes Film Festival will take place from may 13 to 24, 2025.
Professionals from the cinema industry, international stars and up-and-coming actors rub shoulders with the crowd looking for surprising pictures and encounters. Enjoy!
The Festival de Cannes has been celebrating cinema for more than 77 years. Over the years, the Association Française du Festival International du Film has been able to change whilst keeping the essence of the Festival: a passion for cinema, the discovery of new talent and the enthusiasm of festival goers and professionals from the whole world who come to contribute to the making and distribution of films.
Camden Classic Cup Regatta
The Camden Classic Cup is one of the most beautiful regattas that takes place in the Camden Harbor of West Penobscot Bay. The regatta is presented by Lyman-Morse in conjunction with the Camden Yacht Club and with support from the CYOA.
Aspen Ideas Festival
The Aspen Ideas Festival founded in 2005 is a conference modeled after academia with seminars, tutorials, discussions, and panels. Global leaders, presidents, designers, environmentalists, musicians, writers, and artists come to share information and participate in discussions about global and social issues and innovative ideas.
The Newport Bermuda Race 2024
The Newport Bermuda Race began in 1906 and occurs every two years in June. Sailors from around the world sail from Castle Hill Lighthouse in Newport RI to St. David's Lighthouse in Bermuda. The race takes anywhere from 2 to 6 days to complete and is considered very difficult but addictive by sailors.
8th Annual Austrian World Summit 2024
The Austrian World Summit is a climate conference which takes places annually in Vienna since 2017. It aims at connecting stakeholders from politics, civil society and business to create a broad alliance for climate protection. It is organised by the Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative and took place at the Hofburg palace and the Spanish Riding School in the past. Arnold Schwarzenegger was the initiator of the conference and he organises it together with Monika Langthaler. Wilkipedia
Milan Design Week
The Milan Furniture Fair is a furniture fair held annually in Milan. It is the largest trade fair of its kind in the world. The exhibition showcases the latest in furniture and design from countries around the world. Wilkipedia
Pi Day
Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π. Pi Day is observed on March 14 since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant figures of π. It was founded in 1988 by Larry Shaw, an employee of the San Francisco, California science museum, the Exploratorium. Wikipedia
2022 EAA AirVenture
EAA AirVenture Oshkosh stands for Experimental Aircraft Association's Fly-In Convention and takes place in Oshkosh, WI. Part of the fun for pilots is that they can fly in to AirVenture, Whitman Field and land on a colored dot. AirVenture, besides being the largest airshow in the nation, includes ‘hands-on workshops, diverse aircraft spanning all eras flight, concerts’ and much more.
Comic-Con International
Comic-Con International in San Diego is the largest comic convention in the United States. It began in 1970 and is a non-profit organization that raises awareness and promotes the education of comic book art and other similar types of art which extends now to movies, board games, and costumes.
