10,000sf SOUNDSTAGE A at The Matthews Group represented a first for central Texas — the ability to shoot film and video in the comfortable and controlled environment of a dedicated commercial sound stage. The studio is constructed of castle-thick, 12” thick solid concrete walls and a new 7” thick sound dampening roof for sound abatement. The stage is safely away from the city’s noisy train tracks yet immediately accessible to main thoroughfares.
The stage has a standing, computer designed, 5ft. curve, hard cyc/cyclorama with 15 programmable Arri Skypanel S-60 Pro lights for industry standard blue/green screen and unlimited color and temperature combinations. The stage can easily accommodate productions needing multiple custom sets as well as large props, automobiles, and groups of actors on stage.
